greatest moral, constitutional, and political crisis. In doing so, he preserved the Union, abolished slavery, strengthened the federal government, and modernized the economy.
Lincoln believed that the best way to defeat his enemies was to make them his friends. By doing so, he was able to know strategically, their weaknesses and strengths. This was the strategy that he used to triumph during the American Civil War...
